Commemoration Events Of The World Day Against Child Labour (WDACL), 2025

SUMMARY REPORT OF THE WDACL COMMEMORATION EVENTS 2025

In commemoration of the World Day Against Child Labor (WDACL) 2025, PAACLA Indonesia, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, the Ministry of Manpower, the Ministry of Human Rights, the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection, the International Labour Organization (ILO) Indonesia, JARAK Indonesia, the Indonesian Palm Oil Entrepreneurs Association (GAPKI), ECLT Foundation and other strategic partners, organized a series of activities under the theme: “Let’s Accelerate Action to Eliminate Child Labor!” This theme serves as a reminder that the fight to eliminate child labor is far from over and requires continued collaboration and concrete action from all stakeholders.

The peak of the WDACL 2025 commemoration took place on June 12, 2025, marked by the presentation of the PAACLA Award to companies in the agricultural sector that have contributed to the prevention of child labor through innovative practices. The award ceremony was held at Aryaduta Hotel, Central Jakarta.

A day earlier, on June 11, 2025, another event was held at the National Library building titled “Rabu Seru (Exciting Wednesday): Dare to Dream, Dare to Aspire from an Early Age.” This event was a result of collaboration between JARAK Indonesia and PKPA, with support from PAACLA Indonesia and other partners.

In addition to the above main events, a series of online campaigns have been running since May 2025 to raise public awareness—particularly concerning the elimination of child labor in the agricultural sector. The campaign highlights the importance of protecting children and ensuring their right to grow, learn, and dream.

He stressed that the partnerships established by PAACLA Indonesia must continue to receive strong support from the government, the business sector, and all relevant stakeholders.
